Q: How did Burn 60 come about? How did you come up with the name?
A: Fitness has always been a part of my daily life, but I continued to be disappointed with large gym classes and fad workouts. Thanks to Bob Harper, I learned about interval training and loved the efficiency and effectiveness of his workouts. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find a facility that I liked, so I decide to open my own. My friend, Drew Gerstein found the location (with parking) and our doors have been open since June 2005. I was the demographic, so it was easy to relate to what busy moms needed. The name came naturally - Burn 60 said it all - A 60-minute workout where you burn as much off as you can.
Q: Describe the Burn 60 workouts. What do the workouts entail, and what kind of results can you expect? Most popular classes?
A: Changing up your workout is critical if you want results. Each Burn 60® class is divided into alternating intervals of walking, jogging or running on a treadmill with floor work consisting of a combination of strength and resistance training utilizing ever changing routines of weights, bars, bands, kettle bells, bosu balls, plyometric and other state of the art techniques.. Each class is designed to maximize calorie burn (up to 600 calories per class), increase strength and stamina while sculpting your body like no other workout. Regardless of fitness level or age, Burn 60® will make you better, stronger, leaner, faster and more flexible – guaranteed. I’ve gone all over Los Angeles and taken every class to recruit the best trainers. The Burn 60 team of trainers is the best in the city. They are committed and work together to make sure every class is the best it can be. All of our instructors are great- and its personal preference and time slots that determine the most popular classes. We encourage our clients to mix it up and not favor one particular class or instructor.
Q: How is this gym different from other gyms?
