David Siik

A native of Negaunee, a small town nestled in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, David Siik earned a BS in Biomedical Science and Chemistry from his home state’s at Grand Valley State University before heading off to the Big Apple where he pursued a dual career track: running and modeling. During his five years in New York City he also created City Striders, a fitness education program built around running which continues to improve the lives of the inner city youth for whom it was designed.

Since moving to Los Angeles in 2009 Siik has posed for Nike, Adidas, Asics and Runner’s World amongst other leading athletic wear makers for whom he also serves as a fit model. An A.C.E. certified personal trainer, Siik has competed in 800 meter, middle distance competitions for more than a decade since he was an NCAA Academic All American in college. When not busy pursuing his dual careers, or energetically kicking Burn 60 clients’ butts into model shape, he conducts independent research on the most effective use of treadmills as part of an overall running regime and developing guidelines for weekend warriors and professional athletes alike.

In February 2012, David will appear on the cover of Runner's World:
