Mia Kaneda

Fitness and health have been the driving passions of native Angeleno Mia Kaneda’s life for as long as she can remember. A NASM certified personal trainer for more than a decade, Kaneda continues to study exercise science and nutrition in pursuit of new ways to help her students use fitness to improve their overall lives. During her elementary school years, Kaneda trained as a gymnast before a broken ankle ended that athletic path but opened up the time to pursue horse riding and wrangling both of which she mastered while still a teenager. Today her athletic pursuits are a bit more extreme; a marathon runner she has also gone skydiving and cliff diving.

She attended Santa Barbara City College for two years before pursuing a BA in English and Psychology at the University of Southern California. She is currently pursuing a degree in drug and alcohol counseling [FORMAL NAME OF PROGRAM/DEGREE?} at UCLA’s Extension as part of her constant quest for knowledge about human's psychological and physical behavior so that she can be the best teacher possible. Kaneda’s passion, knowledge and athletic spirit are combined into each Burn 60 class that she leads leaving students breathless, spry and better.
